Las Bajas Pasiones is a project that wanders between electronic experimentation, synthesizers, dance rhythms and guitars. All this supported by some lyrics, in the form of hip-hop and songwriting, immersed in the deconstruction of gender, heartbreak and drugs. The trio formed by Edu Libra, Dani Vera “Trusty” and Toni Bello “Taboo” have released three albums: ‘Rizomas Salvajes’ (2018), ‘Bichx Rarx’ (2020) and ‘Neocancaneo’ (2022), their latest album which It saw the light last February.
Now they release the clip of ‘A dejar querer’, a song that arises in cruising areas, a defiant cry to stereotyped love, an energetic dance, sometimes furious, and others caramelized, but always poetic, to remind us of the limits that are fading beyond what is allowed. Because there is always something else where cities end, inadvisable paths, where the normal ceases to be the norm, and the exiles walk open to life’s fortuitous encounters.
A video clip made, once again, by Jose Pouchucq (Morreostudio), where the stories of various monstrous characters who have been rejected by society meet in a forest on the end of the city. The coarse gives way to the beautiful and love, even for a few hours, ends up paving the way.
Several artists who have long collaborated with Las Bajas Pasiones appear in the video, such as Norma Mor, Queer Falafel and Chavo, among others. One more sample of the creative capacity of the queer world of Barcelona.
‘A dejar querer’ is a new dance anthem celebrating a proud and rebellious diversity that is part of the latest album by Las Bajas Pasiones: ‘Neocancaneo’.
