New single by Sexenni “Klk quieren las chicas”
Sexenni has just presented ‘Houston’, the first preview of their second album, and a song that has already become the official song of the Volta Ciclista in Catalonia this 2023. Now the group presents ‘Klk quieren las chicas’, the second single from their second work that will be released next September.
After experiencing a brilliant rise last year as a result of their first album ‘Retrats’, which contains hits like ‘Sarrià Boy’ or ‘De Lao’, in this song with “disco” rhythms and a pop sound, the people of Lleida ironize about the heavy that eat your ear throughout the night. The song tells the story of a boy who, despite talking about flirting all the time, is unable to talk to a girl. In the lyrics, the different members of the group describe this colorful character from different points of view: from a reunited childhood friend who puts up with him during a night out to the waiter who puts up with him every weekend at the disco. All this while maintaining the satirical and casual tone that characterizes the group so much.
Thus, the group continues with the sound line that it began to draw with its first single ‘Houston’. The production has been in charge of the member of the group Pep Saula and is accompanied by a video clip directed by Alba Muñoz that reaffirms the humorous tone and the message of the song.
Although the album will have to wait until autumn, the group will already start a tour this spring where they will be advancing part of the new repertoire. The tour will kick off at the Sala Cotton Club in Lleida and at the Sala Razzmatazz in Barcelona, and it promises to go through the main music festivals in the country!
