New single by El Santo & Saske “Nightcrawlers”
David «El Santo» became known with Falsalarma, one of the pioneer groups of the national hip-hop scene and with which, together with his brother Titó, he was a member, founder and MC. From 1995 onwards they were gaining followers both in the national territory and in Latin America and have been a source of inspiration for many artists who would come later.
Falsalarma came to publish seven albums between 1997 and 2019, in addition to various singles and EP’s. Along with other artists with whom he has collaborated (Frank T, Violadores del Verso, Tote King, SFDK…), the MC from Sabadell was part of the generation that laid the foundations of hip-hop, rap and urban music in Spain and Latin America. A full-fledged pioneer whose verses led him to tour the entire Iberian Peninsula and countries like Mexico or Chile.
With all this baggage behind him and as the indisputable figure of hip-hop in Spanish that he is, now “El Santo” begins his solo career and prepares his first album that will be released this year 2023. ‘Partir de Cero’, the first advance , already lets guess the motivation of this change of stage. The album is produced by himself and mixed and mastered by Koar -producer of artists such as Natos and Waor- and will feature powerful collaborations that will be revealed shortly.
After presenting ‘Partir de cero’, an intimate, introspective, courageous song that makes catharsis, self-exorcism, of a historical artist; he now joins Saske to publish a second track: ‘Nightcrawlers’. This topic means a lot. This theme is two generations of artists, two rappers of different ages united by a common bond: mutual admiration and the desire to make the best song possible. The beginnings, the street, the hesitation, the effort, the style… the history of Spanish rap in two essential pieces of the puzzle that come together to deliver their most and best: El Santo and Saske, Saske and El Santo.
The flowers that were born from the asphalt in the absolute demonstration of generational eclecticism. Past, present and future never had a better artistic expression in hip hop, because the best rap you can hear today is called ‘Nightcrawlers’ and it stars two timeless icons like El Santo and Saske. And now you can hit play again, because this topic is not going to leave your head anytime soon.
