Xicu breaks the limits of urban pop with his new album ‘LISTEN’

Xicu releases LISTEN, his new full-length album, a record born from the constant tension between pop songwriting and the desire to push beyond its boundaries. The album expands the artist’s sonic universe and projects it towards territories closer to the underground and more alternative scenes, consolidating an increasingly personal and daring artistic proposal.

With a raw sound and direct lyrics, LISTEN reveals a darker, more critical side of Xicu and, at times, one that is clearly angry with the world. The album’s 11 tracks move freely between acoustic guitars recorded on a mobile phone and saturated, distorted 808s, blending an urban aesthetic with his already signature bedroom-pop sound. Written, produced, and developed entirely on his own, the album is built as a sincere and precise portrait of the moment Xicu is currently living.

As part of this new phase, Xicu previously released tracks such as ‘aye’, ‘u n me bby’, and ‘POGOS’, a recent single with Lil Guiu from P.A.W.N Gang, in which they abandon depth to embrace the physical impact of music played at extreme volume.

Following projects like SACRIFICIS (Delirics, 2024) and the EP Tu I Jo No Morirem Mai (Delirics, 2025), and after performing at festivals such as Vida Festival and Primavera Sound (Primavera Pro), Xicu is establishing himself as one of the most personal and distinctive emerging voices in the current Catalan music scene.

The live presentation of LISTEN will take place on March 19 at Sala Upload in Barcelona, and he is already confirmed to perform at Festival Cruïlla 2026 on July 8.
