After the success of his album Sacrificis and the EP Tu i Jo No Morirem Mai, singer and songwriter Xicu returns with new music: GREMLINS, a single in collaboration with Sr. Barabi that confirms both his creative momentum and his increasingly bold and personal style.

With this new track, Xicu delves into the emotional turmoil caused by a magnetic person—someone who plays with desire and emotional bonds knowing they hold the power. GREMLINS explores this latent tension and a pull that’s as inevitable as it is painful. The artist conveys it through sharp, poignant lyrics and a production that blends elements of urban music, experimental pop, and Jersey Club, staying true to the emotional and aesthetic line that defines his recent work.
From his early songs like Sol and BLAU, Xicu has charted a path from melodic introspection to emotional intensity. In 2023, he solidified his voice with 22 (Delirics, 2023), an intense EP featuring collaborations with artists like Julieta, Teuma Thug (P.A.W.N Gang), and Galgo Lento. His evolution continued with Sacrificis (Delirics, 2024), a raw and visceral album in which he explored the limits of personal sacrifice through deeply truthful lyrics and evocative melodies.
With the follow-up EP Tu i Jo No Morirem Mai (Delirics, 2025), Xicu closed this sonic journey with a collection of songs about loss, fear of the future, and the persistent hope that love—although it may end—never completely disappears. GREMLINS represents a new stage of experimentation, but also of consolidation. The collaboration with Sr. Barabi brings charisma and contrast to the track, injecting fresh energy into both the music and the message.
With confirmed performances at major festivals such as Vida Festival and Primavera Sound (Primavera Pro), Xicu is cementing his place as one of the most compelling emerging voices in the current Catalan music scene. With this new single, his universe continues to expand—exploring complex emotions with a sound inspired by artists like Rusowsky, Ralphie Choo, and Tristán!, while maintaining a unique and inimitable identity.
