Sexenni celebrates the power of the gaze with ‘Els ulls que et mirin’, the second preview from their new album

The band Sexenni from Lleida releases Els ulls que et mirin, the second preview from their upcoming collaborations album, an EP set to be released in February. Following the success of their first single, Televisió, with Miki Núñez, the band continues to unfold the universe of a collective project that emphasizes shared glances and artistic complicity.

With Els ulls que et mirin, Sexenni delivers a song built on a concept as simple as it is profound: nothing is absolute, everything depends on perspective. The track reflects on how the same person can be a hero or a villain, loved or questioned, depending on who observes them, who tells their story, or who judges them.

The lyrics use powerful and contrasting imagery to portray shifting identities, often unfair, constructed from the outside. In this way, Sexenni highlights the fragility of personal narrative and how others’ perceptions can shape the way we see ourselves. The central message of the song is a clear and honest invitation: to seek out kind eyes, to surround ourselves with people who listen, understand, and care for us without judgment.

This new single follows Televisió, the song Sexenni recently released with Miki Núñez, which served as the first preview of the project. Televisió is an energetic and radiant pop track, a pure and unfiltered declaration of love, with lyrics full of references to cinema and television, and a music video directed by Aarón Barreiro set on a television studio set.

With a solid trajectory that includes the albums Retrats (Delirics, 2022), Supernova (Delirics, 2023), and Joc de nens(Delirics, 2025), and performances at events such as the Mercat de Música Viva de Vic, Festes de la Mercè, Razzmatazz, and Apolo, among others, Sexenni has become one of the most promising bands on the Catalan music scene. This trajectory will be reinforced on March 13, 2026, at Sala Paral·lel 62 in Barcelona, in a very special concert showcasing the band’s new repertoire and presenting this new collaborations project live. Tickets are now available.
