Kovitch
"Kovitch is a singer and lyricist from Vallès Occidental (Barcelona). He started writing rap lyrics in 2007, when he was only fourteen, and since then he has founded several bands, as a band or as a DJ, with which he has published numerous references. The most recent is a five-song EP called ‘Flâneur’ (2021), which has been performing live with several sold outs. The rapper has already amassed more than 160,000 views on music platforms. Two of his singles (‘Tapar el sol’ and ‘Ma danse’) have been ranked among the top three songs of 2020 and 2021 according to iCat FM, and the second of them was a semi-finalist in the ‘MIN 2021’ awards.
The rapper’s style captures the legacy of the most melodic Hip Hop and R&B, inspired from the American, national and French scene. His lyrics, which mix Catalan, Spanish and French, are vindictive, with personal values and experiences. Currently, he experiences urban sounds with African and Jamaican roots such as afrobeat or dancehall.
As a member of Homes Llúdriga, a group already dissolved, they published several works, which, despite being self-published, were very well received, leading them to perform in renowned venues and to move around the Catalan land in all kinds of events. They participated in the viral macro-collaboration ‘Los Borbones son unos ladrones’ and played on ‘Les de l’hoquei’ (Netflix).
Kovitch has collaborated with artists such as Valtonyc, Lágrimas de Sangre, Sombra Alor, DJ Plan B (LCDM) or Erick Hervé, among many others. He was one of the promoters of the first compilation of rap in Catalan, ‘Rap de la Terra Vol.1’ (2018), and he has performed in a lot of concerts until today. "
