Giadda
Giadda (Mataró) is a Uruguayan-Catalan artist who blends the sensitivity of alternative music with the energy of urban rhythms, weaving together influences from dancehall, modern trap, and experimental pop. Trained in piano and voice from a young age, her artistic path began within local gospel choirs and gradually evolved into a personal project that merges her roots with the new waves shaping today’s contemporary scene.
Her musical identity stands out for its intimate, experimental, and emotional character, present in tracks such as ‘NATGES’, ‘DURAZNO’, ‘Eso q imaginas’, ‘RADAR’, and her debut EP ‘Volver a partir’. Giadda draws inspiration from artists like Juicy Bae, Rosalía, Bad Gyal, and the iconic Jaime Roos, often honoring him through samples and references that highlight her deep connection to Uruguayan culture.
Alongside her solo work, she also develops a collaborative project with sankki under the name Giadda & sankki, where they explore a fresh, emotional form of Catalan urban pop, expressed in songs like ‘UNA NENA COM TU’.
Giadda, with her catchy melodies and her ability to merge intimacy with rhythm, position her as one of the most exciting emerging voices in the Catalan and Spanish underground scene.
