Estramoni

"Estramoni is a mixed quintet from Barcelona but his project was born in Paris during a year when Marc and Joan lived there. One night returning from a party Marc had a notebook and Joan bought a guitar at a second-hand market (lacked a string). There were poems inside the notebook and a chord wheel on the guitar.

They put it together and created the first song: “Broto de nou.” Since then the project has been growing, almost at the same time Judit (keyboards), Anna (bass) and Ignasi (drums) joined.

The lyric references of Catalan pop can be seen (Mishima, Antònia Font, El petit de Cal Eril, Manel, Mazoni) but also drink other music (Wilco, Los planetas, ’80 music,…)."
