Púniks receives the Sant Jordi Youth Mention Award from the Institute for Catalan Studies and Releases Their New single "Caleta".

The music group Púniks, born in Ibiza and formed by Karlus and Slim Samurai, has been awarded the Sant Jordi Youth Mention Prize by the Institute for Catalan Studies, a recognition of their artistic work and commitment to Ibizan culture through a contemporary lens.

Caleta - Púniks

This distinction comes at a key moment for the duo, who are taking the opportunity to release their new single titled ‘Caleta’, a track that, true to the group’s style, is an ode to love, freedom, and the intimate landscapes of the island. With smooth rhythms and lyrics that evoke sunsets, hidden paths, and spontaneous swims, ‘Caleta’ continues to explore the emotional and identity-driven thread that defines Púniks’ artistic vision.

Following the success of their debut album ‘Sa Curta’—a tribute to nostalgia, roots, and Ibiza’s popular culture—and their single ‘Mesquin’, Púniks is consolidating a musical project that blends sounds like reggaetón, indie-pop, and drum & bass, with a strong sense of place rooted in island life.

With this recognition from the Institute for Catalan Studies, Púniks opens a new chapter and invites us to reflect on what it means to be Ibizan today, caught between the weight of tradition and the pulse of a new creative generation.
