Ibizan artist Karlus presents “Sa Tornada (Capitol 1)”, the first preview of his debut studio album. This new song is much more than a single: it's a statement of intent and a symbolic return to his homeland, Ibiza, after a transformative personal and artistic journey.

“Sa Tornada” tells the story of a protagonist who, after spending time away from home, returns with a suitcase full of lessons. He has changed, grown, and comes back ready to apply everything he’s learned along the way. With lyrics steeped in island imagery and references to the traditional song “Sona, Viola Sona”, the track unfolds in a dreamy and delicate soundscape where synths and ethereal melodies flow into a new minimalist layer. But not everything is idyllic: the piece’s ending reveals a hidden tension, a bitter twist that hints the longed-for return may not be exactly as imagined.
Karlus has already established himself as an emerging voice to watch. Self-taught and with an artistic sensitivity that draws from music, literature, philosophy, and painting, he builds his own intimate and symbol-laden sonic universe.
“Sa Tornada (Chapter 1)” follows the release of his first single “He llorado”, in which the artist reflects on failed relationship expectations and the choice to break free from past patterns. More recently, together with producer Pache, he released “MTR”, an EP exploring intimacy, melancholy, and dreams through an ambient and ethereal sound.
With “ARMADURA”, his latest release, Karlus closed a chapter. The track explored the rewards of inner work and self-awareness as a path to personal blooming.
Influenced by figures like Gary Snyder, The Blaze’s progressive house, and Arca’s experimental reggaetón, Karlus continues to build a coherent and deeply personal artistic path, where each release adds a new chapter to an honest and poetic sonic narrative.
