After introducing this new artistic chapter with ‘Absència’ and continuing it with ‘Get Ready With Me’, singer, songwriter, and producer Júlia Català now presents her debut EP, ‘16 Minutes of Pause’, a five-track project that firmly establishes her unique voice within the Catalan music scene.
Based in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Júlia Català has been building a musical universe that moves between pop and R&B, always guided by an intimate and honest perspective. With this new release, she offers a reflection on time, urgency, and the constant pressure of an accelerated world, particularly shaped by the immediacy of social media.

‘16 Minutes of Pause’ is built around a simple yet powerful metaphor: stopping in the middle of everyday chaos. Its total running time of sixteen minutes becomes a symbolic space for breathing and reflection, where the artist explores feelings of smallness, emptiness, and the weight of external expectations — including experiences shaped by male-dominated dynamics. At the same time, the EP expresses the need to reconnect with oneself before being consumed by the speed of the modern world.
One of the project's defining features is that Júlia Català self-produced the entire EP, reinforcing a fully personal artistic vision and a distinctive sensitivity across every layer of the work. The mixing and mastering were handled by Roger Rodés (Medusa Estudio), bringing sonic depth and cohesion to the project as a whole.
With this release, Júlia Català continues to strengthen a rapidly growing career. She has performed at events such as Festival Petits Camaleons and venues across Barcelona’s live music circuit, including Rouge Cocktail Club, establishing herself as one of the most promising emerging artists of her generation. On July 20, she will perform at Festival Nits d’Occident, where audiences will be able to experience this new artistic chapter live.
With ‘16 Minutes of Pause’, released alongside Delirics, Júlia Català presents her first EP — a project that solidifies her artistic identity and positions her as one of the most exciting new voices to watch.
