Júlia Català unveils ‘Get Ready With Me’, the second single from her upcoming project, following the release of ‘Absència’, which introduced this new artistic chapter. With this latest release, the artist from Sant Cugat del Vallèscontinues to explore a sonic universe where pop and R&B meet an intimate, everyday, and deeply personal perspective.
‘Get Ready With Me’ is inspired by a familiar feeling: realizing that you've spent far more time on your phone than intended. The song captures that moment when you open social media “just for a minute” and suddenly discover that much more time has passed than expected, slipping into a cycle of repetition and disconnection. Rather than judging or moralizing, the track simply observes a reality shared by many people today.
The concept of “get ready with me”, widely recognized across social media platforms, serves as the song’s central thread. It symbolizes the type of content we consume daily: videos about routines, aesthetics, products, and trends that can subtly encourage comparison, insecurity, and new forms of personal pressure.
With ‘Get Ready With Me’, Júlia Català transforms this digital experience into a musical piece that reflects on disconnection, time, and perception, while maintaining the honest and sensitive approach that already defined her debut single ‘Absència’.
This release further consolidates a project that continues to grow. On July 20, she will perform at the Festival Nits d’Occident, where she will present this new artistic era live for the first time.
