The boys from Mataró Jorge Agustí and Roger Palomer form JARPS, a young tandem who has not stopped pursuing the dream. They recently returned from their adventure in London, without external aid, without permanent job, only with the instruments and all the illusion of the world.
They had to look for their lives, walk the streets and the subway playing, and finally they got open doors in the pubs and local venues to play.
It was a difficult trip, with hard moments, but also with experiences where “Barcelona” (Delirics 2018) was born, its official debut album.
“We left home with their hats in their hands to London to pursue a dream, and our surprise was that we stayed there for two years.”
The album has 13 songs influenced by the experience in London and everything that goes with it.
The album opens with the single “Everybody Shines” that also has its music video. A video that is a satire of what they had to do and suffer the first weeks of their stay in London. “The beginnings were not easy, but finally we managed to have enough concerts and it was very gratifying to see people impressed with what we do!”
It is quite evident that when listening to his music the love and respect for classic rock and pop of the sixties, seventies, but JARPS also drinks from contemporary sources. Bands like Coldplay, Flyte, The Lemon Twigs, The Lumineers, John Mayer among others.
